CAUSE- Christ came to bring peace: John 14:25-31

EFFECT-Christ’s coming created rebellion on earth. Matt. 10:26-39

The rebellion of man reveals the heart of flesh. Rom. 8:7

Christ longs for you to have eternal peace, will you receive it?

Pursue Holiness. (1 Peter 1:3-17)

             Repent of your sin.  (Mark 1:15, John 3:14-17)

             Receive forgiveness. (Romans 8:1-8, Eph. 2:8-10)

             Remain in Christ. (John 15)

Eliminate sin in your life. (Col. 3:1-17)

             Put yourself on the shelf. Forsake selfishness!  (Phil. 2:1-11)                

             Stand up under the power of the Lord. (1 Peter 5:6-11)

             Take the way of escape. (1 Cor. 10:13)

 Anxiety is not a fruit of the spirit. (Phil. 4:6-9, Gal. 5:22)

 Contagious joy is from God through peace. (Romans 15:13)

 Eternal eyesight allows us to be un-phased by the struggles of this life, resulting in eternal peace from above.  (Hebrews 12)

What is keeping you from a complete pursuit of Holiness?

What sin do you need to stand against, being strengthened by God?

What is causing you anxiety, stealing your joy?

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

When you think of eternity in heaven with God, no more tears or sorrow, no more worry, no more sin or separation, do you have peace?

Thinking on these things, (Phil 4:8), should create a heart of joy!

Are you allowing peace to rule in your heart this Christmas?  Yes/No

Who will you take the message of peace to in the New Year? (Eph. 6:15)
