Guarantor of a better covenant!

Hebrews 7:18-25

1. Review:
   1. We must believe God at His word. (Heb. 6:14-18a)
   2. We must let legalism die in our lives. (Heb. 7:11-21)
   3. We must remember Christ is the indestructible Priest!
2. Hebrews 7:18-19 (The Law)-is weak and useless!
   1. Let legalism die in your life.
   2. Live life in the freedom found in Christ!
3. Hebrews 7:19- In Christ a better hope is introduced in which we draw near, (approach), God! (Hebrews 6:18)
   1. Hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
   2. Hope of serving the Lord free from the curse of sin.
4. Hebrews 7:20-21 (The Oath of God)-will stand for eternity! (Hebrews 6:13-20)
   1. The Promises of God will stand! (2 Cor. 1:20-22)
   2. The Oath of God is Eternal! (Acts 2:29-36)
5. Hebrews 7:22-25 Christ is the guarantor of a better covenant.
   1. An eternal covenant in Christ forever!
   2. A covenant founded on the selfless sacrifice of Christ! (Phil. 2)
   3. A covenant founded on Christ’s ability to save!
   4. A covenant founded on the truth of God and His word! (John 8)
   5. A covenant where Jesus Christ the, (King of Kings), lives to intercede for us! Making our transformation possible.
6. Christ is interceding for those who draw near!
7. Prove that Christ is your guarantor by DRAWING NEAR! Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life! (John 14:6, 8:32) We must be drawing near to the truth (Christ)!
   1. Humility- Start by recognizing your need for God to be at work in you now!
   2. Transparency- Isolate the area in your life God wants to heal next!
   3. Sincerity- Begin to listen diligently to the Holy Spirit as He communicates with you regarding this area of your life!
