Hebrews 9:1-2

1. Review: The new covenant was about the mind and heart not merely going through motions. (Heb. 8:10, Jer. 31:31-34, )
   1. I will put my laws into their minds
   2. I will write them on their hearts
   3. I will be their God
   4. They will be my people
   5. Help is only a prayer away!!
2. Tent/Tabernacle of God (First/Old Covenant)
   1. Construction (Exodus 35-36)
   2. Dedication (Exodus 40)
   3. Weaknesses of this earthly tabernacle.
      1. It would wear out.
      2. It was limited to the Israelite people.

• It was limited by geography.

3. Inside the Tabernacle. (Hebrews 9:2-3, Exodus 25-26)
   1. The first place is the Holy Place.
   2. The second place is called the Most Holy/Holy of Holies.
4. Inside of the Holy place. Shadows of things to come! (Heb. 8:5)
   1. Lampstand/Candlestick/Menorah
      1. Nation of Israel was supposed to be a light to the nations. (Isaiah 42:6,49:6)
      2. Christ is the light of the world. (John 8:12)

• Believers today are to shine as lights to the world. (Phil. 2:14-15, Matt. 5:14-16)

5. Are you letting your light shine?
   1. Is Christ in you evident to others?
   2. Is Christ in you making a real difference in how you live?
   3. Is Christ in you illuminating the re around you?
   4. Is Christ in you dispelling any darkness out of you?
   5. Is Christ in you setting an example for your family, co-worker, grocery store checker, banker, cpa etc….?
