“When God Speaks”

Hebrews 1:1-4

1. Many times and in many ways God spoke.
   1. Through the Fathers, (Patriarchs of old), (Heb. 3:9,8:9)
   2. Through David and Moses. (Duet. 18:15, Acts 1:16, 3:22, 4:25, 7:37, 26:22)
2. God spoke in many different ways in the Old Testament.
   1. Moses and the burning bush. (Exodus 3:1-4:17)
   2. Joseph received dreams from God.(Gen. 37,40,41)
   3. Samuel heard an audible voice. (1 Samuel 3)
   4. Elijah heard a whisper. (1 Kings 19:9-18)
   5. Zachariah was told by an angel he would be silenced until John’s the Baptist’s birth. (Luke 1)
3. Throughout the New Testament God speaks through, His Son Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 1:2-4)
   1. He is the radiance of the glory of God!
   2. He is the exact imprint of the nature of God!
   3. He upholds the universe by the word of His power!
   4. He has made purifications for sin!
   5. He is now seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high!
   6. He is far superior to the angels!
   7. His name is far superior then the angels also!
4. Jesus Christ truly is God with us!!! (Matthew 1:23)
5. Has God spoken to you lately? Through Jesus?  Through His word?  Through His Spirit?  Through His servants?
6. Who is Jesus Christ to you? Who is Jesus Christ in you?
