2. (Humility) The “Trials” of the Poor Brothers! (Judges 6-8)
   1. The poor can boast in the Lord for eternal life knowing that this life is temporary!
   2. The poor can focus more on the things of the Lord being less distracted by stuff! (James 4:4)
   3. The poor should seek first the Kingdom of God. (Matt. 6:19-34)
   4. The poor should pursue the power and strength found in the Holy Spirit! (Acts 1:8) Be a Witness!
3. (Hubris) The “Trials” of the Rich! (James 5:1-6, Luke 18:18-27)
   1. The rich must be mindful of the limits of their riches.
      1. Their riches are temporary and will fade!
      2. Their riches cannot buy them a place for eternity!

• Their riches need to be used to bless the poor!

(1Timothy 6:17-19)

1. The rich must be humbled by the selfless sacrifice of Christ! (Phil. 2)
   1. Humbling them and receiving Christ for salvation.
   2. Humbling them and not being deceived by their temporary riches.
2. The rich must not be distracted by their riches being in pursuit of them rather than pursuing Christ!
3. The rich should pursue what the world cannot give them, the Holy Spirit! (Acts 1:8) Be a Witness!

4. (Holy Spirit) Will you be a “WITNESS” whether rich or poor? (Acts 1:8-9, Eph. 5:15-20, Gal. 5:16-26)
   1. The Holy Spirit can fill you rich or poor!
   2. We need to surrender ourselves to the Holy Spirit!
5. (Heaven) Is God number one in your life! (Matt. 6:19-34)
