11-20-16, Surrendering In Sixteen, Reasons to be Thankful

Matthew 6:19-34, 10:26-39, Luke 9:23-27, 10:17-20

Salvation! Set free from sin! (John 3:16-18, 8:36, Eph. 2:1-10)
1. We can have eternal life through Jesus! (John 14:6)
2. We are overcomers through the blood of Christ, and the word of our testimony! (Rev. 12:11)
3. We can be set free from the slavery of sin! (Rom. 6)
Sanctification! Set apart for Kingdom work! (2 Tim. 2:20-3:9, 1 Pet. 1:13-16)
1. Freedom to be separate from sin. (2 Cor. 6:14-7:1)
2. Freedom to be transformed. (Romans 12:1-2)
3. Freedom to fulfill the great commission. (Matt. 28:18-20)
4. Freedom to invest our lives in eternity!(Matt.19:29)
Service! Set free from the love of stuff! (1 Pet. 4:7-11)
1. We get to serve through evangelism. (2 Cor. 5:20-21)
  1. We have the honor of being the hands and feet of Christ. (Gal. 5:13-25, Eph. 3:1-12)
  2. We have the honor of seeing God make a difference in someone’s eternity. (Col. 1:3-14)
2. We get to use God’s gifts here on earth. (Eph. 4:11-16)
  1. Giving back to God the gifts He has given us liberates us from the love of the things of this world. (Romans 12:1-2)
  2. Giving back to God allows us to have eternal eyesight seeking the things that are above!! (Hebrews 12:1-2)
3. We get to give a tithe and offering! (Malachi 3:10, 2 Cor. 9:6-15)
  1. This privilege allows us to store up treasures in heaven! (Matthew 6:19-20)
  2. This privilege allows us to be set free from the love of money, while helping others! (1 Tim. 3:10)
