“Forever Changed”

(Acts 9:1-9, 22:1-11)

  1. Threats of Saul-
  • Seeking to imprison those of the “Way”.
  • Seeking to destroy those promoting the “Way”.

Saul thought his persecution of the “Way” was pleasing to God.

2. Light from Heaven- Remember Stephen (Acts 7:55-56)

  • Saul fell to his knees
  • Saul questioned
  • Saul submits using the word “Lord”

Jesus revealed who He was to Saul.  Saul was forever changed.

3. Jesus says-

  • Rise
  • Enter the City
  • Wait there for my direction

Jesus gives Saul an opportunity to obey Him.

4. Men are speechless-

  • Hearing a voice
  • Seeing nothing

When Jesus speaks things happen!

5. Saul arose blinded

Sometimes Jesus uses temporal things to get our attention for ETERNITY!

6. Saul was led by the hand having to trust another.

Independence on self must be put to death to truly trust in God.

7.Three days Saul was-

  • Blinded
  • Without eating or drinking.

In many regards this would have given Saul time to rest in Jesus’s presence, not distracted by the things of this world.

Key to Transformation

Are you forever changed?

  1. Crisis Presented (James 1:2-4, Eph. 6:10-20)
  2. Character Tested (Romans 12:1-2, 1 Cor. 10:13)
  3. Victory Granted “By God Alone”!!! (Romans 8:37, 1 Cor. 15:50-58)
